Foster Requirements

Age 21 or older with a stable living situation

Safe, secure living space with permission from landlord if renting

Time and commitment to provide care, love, and basic training

Agreement to home check before receiving your foster dog

All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations

How long does fostering last?

Foster periods typically range from 2-8 weeks, but can be shorter or longer depending on the dog's needs and your availability. We work with your schedule.

What if I fall in love and want to adopt?

Foster-to-adopt is wonderful! Foster parents have priority if they wish to adopt their foster dog. Many of our successful adoptions started as foster placements.

What if my foster dog needs medical care?

All medical expenses are covered by WuPs. Simply contact our foster coordinator, and we'll arrange veterinary care at our partner clinics.
